basik quarterly subscription 002 details

The initial basik quarterly subscription 001 was a big hit, and via feedback we think there’s an opportunity to move forward with the basik quarterly subscription 002. Similar to the first subscription, this includes the basik.004, basik.005, and basik.006 along with a basik subcription exclusive variant featuring a unique finish, colorway, or machining variant. The exclusive will not be available at any other time and is limited to the total number of subscribers. A total of 4 pens, over $116 in value for $100. This subscription is available in the Continental United States with USPS Ground Advantage shipping. International shipping options are explained below, please scroll down to read specifics.

how it works

Subscription purchase window will be live from June 16 through June 20; the subscription purchase window will close first thing on June 21 OR when the subscriber limit is hit, whichever comes first. The basik.004 will begin shipping to subscribers the week of June 24. The basik.005 is scheduled for release in August, subscribers will receive their basik.005 five to seven days before the basik.005 is added to the site. The basik.006 is scheduled for release in early September, subscribers will receive their basik.006 five to seven days before the basik.006 is added to the site. The basik subscription exclusive will ship with the basik.006, all four pens should be in customers hands in 60-75 days.

No partial refunds or returns accepted. Refunds of this product require all FOUR (4) items be returned in NEW condition. Exchanges for manufacturers defect will be accepted following our Exchange Policy outlined in our FAQ. 

international shipping explained

In an attempt to offer the subscription to international customers, we had to figure out a shipping solution that wouldn’t “break the bank”. Shipping four pens on three separate release dates all around the world is an expensive undertaking. We are offering two shipment options for international customers.

$20 USD – INTL Subscription – One Shipment (Estimated Shipping Date September 2). The pens are shipped around September 2 roughly one week prior to the planned release date of the basik.006. Save the most on shipping with this method, all pens ship at the final release date.

$60 USD – Three Shipments (Estimated Shipping Dates June 26, July 29, September 2). The pens ship on the same estimated dates as the domestic customers of the Subscription. Three separate shipments as follows: Shipment One – basik.004 rollerball pen, Shipment Two – basik.005 rollerball pen, Shipment Three – basik.006 & basik.exclusive rollerball pens. Get the pens as quickly as possible with this method.

Everyday Karas unofficially launched on social media in 2017 via collaborations with EDC (everyday carry) small makers and influencers, Everyday Karas is now officially launched via this webstore and corresponding social media platforms. Everyday Karas is a return to the foundation of machined writing instruments designed and manufactured for everyday carry use. Designs take a step back from complexity of form to focus more fully on function. Everyday Karas products will feature minimal parts in an effort to reduce failures and maintenance while focusing on streamlining the manufacturing process with the use of our CNC machining technology. Minimalism and simplicity are NOT the goal; rather they are two reference points as we journey back to the basics of our design language and process will shape the product and categories Everyday Karas focuses on. Everyday Karas will redefine the durable writing instrument for everyday carry use by first identifying what an everyday carry pen "needs" to accomplish. The design and manufacturing will follow suit benefiting heavily from the advances we’ve made in the last thirteen years.

Karas Pen Co is the sister-company of Everyday Karas, founded in 2008 under the Karas Kustoms, LLC formation, and later rebranded Karas Pen Co in 2016. Karas Pen Co began designing and manufacturing pens in 2011 that were initially launched via multiple successful Kickstarter campaigns. Over time, Karas Pen Co migrated away from crowd-funding new pens designs, and focused solely on launching new products directly via the Karas Pen Co website. Karas Pen Co designs focus on machined pens, primarily made out of aluminum, brass, and copper with designs that appeal to a variety of customers from the EDC community to the fountain pen community. Karas Pen Co features a vast array of styles, colors, materials, pen types, refill compatibility, and features that make up a vast and growing collection of products and models.
